Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2025
JSON Excel Tool converts spreadsheets and structured data directly in your browser. We designed the platform so that your files stay on your device.
1. Data Processing Model
Conversions happen entirely client-side using WebAssembly and Web Workers. When you import or paste data, the file is parsed locally and never uploaded to our servers. Temporary conversion artifacts exist only in memory while the page is open. Downloaded files are generated on the fly within your browser session.
2. Files, Clipboard Data, and Storage
We do not store your spreadsheets, JSON payloads, or clipboard content on our infrastructure. Optionally, the app may use browser storage (localStorage or IndexedDB) to remember interface preferences such as the most recent tab, indentation settings, or theme selection. You can clear these values at any time by removing site data from your browser settings.
3. Analytics and Cookies
We may enable privacy-friendly analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate product usage. When active, those tools log metadata like page views, device type, and anonymized IP information. They do not have access to the files you open or the conversions you run. You can opt out of analytics by using a browser that blocks tracking scripts or by disabling them in your own settings.
4. Third-Party Services
JSON Excel Tool relies on trusted infrastructure providers (such as Vercel) to host the static application shell and deliver updates. These providers serve the site files but do not receive the content you process in the editor. We also use open-source libraries for parsing Excel files and rendering tables; the libraries run locally inside your browser.
5. Security Measures
The site enforces HTTPS and uses modern browser APIs to isolate conversion tasks from third-party scripts. Because processing happens locally, protecting your device with up-to-date operating system patches and browser versions is the most effective way to secure your data.
6. Children's Privacy
JSON Excel Tool is intended for professional and educational use by individuals aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Privacy Policy when we ship new features or adjust our analytics stack. Material changes will be announced on the website, and the revision date above will reflect the latest version.
